Not sure what the "Guaranteed for Life..." banner on the website means anymore.

I've purchased Duluth Packs going back to 1982 and regarded the companies quality very high. For this reason I purchased a Duluth Pack leather iPhone holster a year and a half ago. Did this after observing quality issues on other mobile phone holsters. Based on my canoe pack experience I fully expected the leather holster to outlast my phone...I was sorely disappointed.

After about 8months the stitching was coming out on one side, I chose to have this repaired locally at my own cost instead of contacting Duluth Pack. Now that the holster is about 1.5yrs old the other side stitching is coming out. Not what I expected. Even worse, when I talked to customer service I found the "guarantee" meant that I could mail it in at my cost and wait ~1month to have them restitch it for me.

Buying a "Guaranteed for life" product I did NOT expect I'd have to purchase another phone holster before I got a new cell phone. I'm very disappointed in what I expected to be a higher customer service company... :(
