Every Minnesotan knows there is nothing quite like the mayhem, food and festivities like the Great Minnesota Get Together – The Minnesota State Fair. Greasy food fills our nostrils, activities are around every corner and the iconic butter carving station is a must to visit.

For the past few years, Duluth Pack has proudly set up a booth with multiple Duluth Pack employees and canvas and leather products galore. Over the two week stretch each sizzling summer, Duluth Pack’s location is in the famous Dairy Building, which is surrounded by delicious and fresh ice cream! Ps: it also is conveniently located by the Prime Rib Sandwich stand (Our General Manager is a sucker for these!) and you can’t resist the deep friend candy bars, too.

While at the Minnesota State Fair, the last thing a festive goer needs is a bag that gets in the way, can’t be stained, is difficult to handle or just is uncomfortable! No one needs that and Duluth Pack has a list of fool fair proof go to bags that won’t dissapoint your fun filled agenda!

Pick number uno! Check out the iconic Duluth Pack Scout Pack. It’s uni-sex style with an ideal size that rides comfortably on your back. Plus, it’s lightweight and super stylish. You can’t beat THIS top seller. If you want a little bit more of an edge with leather accents, check out the new Deluxe Scout Pack right HERE .

For all ages, all styles and all sizes – the iconic Drawstring Pack is a state or country fair want and a need! With 16 colors of canvas, the Duluth Pack Drawstring Backpack found HERE is great for your children, your cousin, yourself and your parents. Yes, it’s that good.

The third and final choice that blogger, Molly Yeh 100% recommends is a customer favorite – the Duluth Pack Market Tote . It holds all your necessities – your phone, wallet, sunglasses, liquids and your splurges – food, concert tickets, photo booth pictures and the yearly fair logo shirt. Read her blog post about her experience at a local country fair and why the Duluth Pack Market Tote is one of her new favorite bags year round HERE . By the way, thank you for the featured photos, Molly!

Happy fair time, friends! Be safe, eat lots and enjoy the Minnesota culture!

Duluth Pack is Going to the Minnesota State Fair!

August 21, 2012

Yup, it’s that time of the year… the Great Minnesota Get Together!  Over the course of 12 Days (August 23rd – September 3rd, 2012) more than 1.7 million people will attend the Minnesota State Fair, and hopefully all of them will stop by the Duluth Pack booth in the Dairy Building (corner of Judson Ave and Underwood St) where we will have a variety of bags on display and available for purchase.

We love to make the trip down each year to share our story, our rich history, and continue to amaze people with the fact that our products are still manufactured right here in Duluth, Minnesota, and have been for 130 years. Each bag is hand sewn, hand riveted, and hand signed….and on top of all that, we offer a Lifetime Guarantee on our craftsmanship and hardware.

So, grab a meal-on-a-stick and swing by to see us.  While you’re in the Dairy Building, you can also grab some ice cream and check out the famous Butter Heads.  We look forward to meeting our friends and fans, hearing your amazing tales of adventures with Duluth Packs, and making new friends!

fairWe will be at the Great Minnesota Get Together again this year! This is our favorite time of year! We get to get out on the road and meet our friends and fans, hear their stories, and of course make new friends. People are excited to see that our products are STILL made in Duluth, MN and have been for 128 years! Each bag is hand sewn, hand riveted and hand signed. We offer a lifetime guarantee on our craftsmanship!

After you ride the rides, and eat your fill of items on a stick, stop in and say hi! We are in the Empire Commons Building/Dairy Building. Home of the famous butterheads and milkshakes.  Last year was a great year when we won the “Outstanding Consession” Award.  So come and see why!

PS – A little tip, the “rueben-on-a-stick is amazing”. What is your favorite item on a stick?
